WELCOME

We will be having some fundraising events in the spring.  Charlies Car Wash will be hosting a fundraiser for us and the Wichita Area Car Club organization will be supporting us with a benefit car show.  Watch for dates here, and on my facebook page under Deb Thomas

Our Team

We are all volunteers, hoping to make the lives of children better through music.

Our Mission

The mission of Fanfare Instruments for Students is to provide underprivileged students with band and orchestra instruments at no charge to the family.  We intend to form a solid support system for each student by attending their concerts and acknowledging life events such as birthdays and graduations.  As musicians, we understand the importance of support when it comes to studying music and  learning an instrument.

         Lighthouse Music Services
We are proud to announce the addition of Fred and Karolyn of Lighthouse Music Services as our new partners.  We can now offer quality restored band instruments to our students.  Fred has been very helpful in getting our name out to musicians and educating Jim and me on how to proceed with our mission. Visit them at lighthousemusicservices.com and look for them at the KMEA Conference in February.

A New Violin

This little gal was our first recipient of a beautifully restored 3/4 size violin by Simon McHugh, of McHugh Violin Shop, Wichita, KS. As she opened the case, she exclaimed ,”It’s beautiful!”

Simon McHugh

All of our stringed instruments come from the violin shop of Simon McHugh. It is because of their skills and generosity that Fanfare Instruments will be able to offer to students, quality stringed instruments. We are so happy and proud to have Simon, and his young luthier, Seth to be on board as our partners.

We Did it Again!

This classy, young lady received a full-size violin, refurbished by McHugh Violin Shop here in Wichita. It’s the second violin that we have had the privilege to donate to a deserving, young student. She also stated,”It’s beautiful!” She was all smiles along-side orchestra teacher.
